Market Highlights

We survived another season in High Point! Visiting market is one of our favorite events, but it is a jam packed 5 day adventure! We see 100's of lines, explore some 35 buildings, indulge in probably 300 candy bars, constantly have 4 phones with full storage, and push the limit of 10 pairs of stylish but comfortable walking shoes! After a few days of recovery and recap, we've gathered our collection of highlights from our last trip to the furniture capital to share with you!

We'll kick it off with a chandelier that we loved prior to market; 1. Gabby's Clay chandelier! This market the Clay was introduced in a new smaller size! The new size measures 31.5"Dia. x 27"H, and can now brighten up a room with only 9" ceilings (which Columbia is famous for)! 2. Our second pick is this unique oval buffet!? We're obsessed! We can picture it in a cool loft apartment or floating in a big open living space. The options are endless!

3. We see lots of upholstery pieces in High Point! With that, we're always looking to find a style that's interesting, timeless, and with an element of allure. We found a stunner at Wesley Hall this season named the Belmont! This sofa is a transitional twist on the common Chesterfield style. It has a bold arm, defined lines, and a comfortable two-over-two cushion look that works in a variety of living spaces. 4. You could pair this sofa style with another trend we saw this market, a carved cocktail table. We noticed the carving trend throughout the showrooms this market. One of our favorites was Selamat's round cocktail table with stone top. This piece is a real conversation starter for any Den or Sunroom!

5. Our fifth market pick is a clean modern pendant from Visual Comfort. Clean & modern aren't exactly new trends, we just think Visual Comfort knocked it out of the park this season with some beautiful new selections. They also introduced a new line by New Orleans' designer, Julie Neill. They have yet to release her pieces online for us to share, but look for them to arrive to Westend Interiors this Fall!

6. We noticed this market that every showroom had a chair with a rattan, woven, or wood textured element. Lines like Selamat, Gabby, & Made Goods are investing heavily in these pieces. Maybe it's the Spring & Summer season upon us, that has desiring a bit of nature in our lives. Maybe it's the trends of light tones, white cabinets and high gloss has us needing the textured element to add that bit of warmth and invitation to a space. Either way, we're on board and thought Bungalow5 nailed the look with the height & design of their Raleigh Club Chair.

7. We always enjoy stopping by Ryan Studio's to shop for new pillows. We love the color combo of this landscape compositions. It's colors and concept are a great starting point for a living space or bedroom. We did a quick pairing of it with 8. Lacefield's new 22x22 green leopard pillow. Lacefield keeps a collection of classic styles available. This season they introduced a new line from a Greenville, SC artist named, Dorothy Shain! We love seeing S.C. peeps spreading their skill throughout the country!

Overall, we enjoyed another successful market! We ordered lots of fun and stylish new pieces for Westend. We hope you all enjoyed this little recap, and will pay us a visit to see and shop these new Spring styles arriving weekly!
